Objective of NSC
In the previous article, we have seen the full form of NSC. Here we are viewing some of the objectives of NSC. The objective of its constitution is to reduce the problems faced by statistical agencies in the country concerning the collection of data.
Statistical agencies like the Central Statistics Office (CSO) and the National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) face numerous issues in collecting data from State and Central government departments, but an autonomous body like the NSC is thought to be more able to coordinate things as a statutory status would lend its teeth and make it easy to organize the data. It would lay special emphasis on ensuring the collection of unbiased data to restore public trust in the figures released by the Government.
